<p>Provided is a safe umbrella which is not damaged by wind pressure when wind pressure strikes from the inward direction or outward direction of the umbrella. The umbrella has one or both of the following arranged on a primary rib (6) in the shaft direction of the primary rib (6) at a prescribed position nearer the tip in relation to the shaft-support position of a secondary rib (7): an outward-direction-reversal hinge (9) for holding a fastener which supports the primary rib (6) in a straight line when storing the umbrella, and capable of reverse-rotating the primary rib (6) outward when the umbrella fabric receives wind pressure of a prescribed pressure or more from the inward direction, during normal use of the umbrella with the primary rib (6) open and supported in a straight line; and an inward-direction-reversal hinge (10) for holding a fastener which adjusts the prescribed pressure and supports the primary rib (6) in a straight line when storing the umbrella, and capable of reverse-rotating the primary rib (6) inward when the umbrella fabric receives wind pressure of a prescribed pressure or more from the outward direction, during normal use of the umbrella with the primary rib (6) open and supported in a straight line.</p> |
