<p>Provided are a vehicle steering control device and vehicle steering control method capable of ensuring steering servo responsiveness and external disturbance suppression performance. During steer by wire control, when an end contact state, where the rotation limit of a steering wheel (1) is reached, is detected, an engagement command is output to a clutch (6) and turning wheels (11R, 11L) and the steering wheel (1) are mechanically coupled. Moreover, at the same time, a turning motor (8) is driven and controlled in order to fix the turning angle of the turning wheels (11R, 11L) to a turning command angle (thetar1) during end contact that is near the maximum turning angle. Thus, a reaction motor (4) does not overheat, and the driver will experience the desired end contact feel.</p> |
