摘要 In processing of the surface of a thin disk-shaped workpiece, provided is a carrier apparatus capable of securing high efficient and high precise processing with a simple and cheap structure. The present invention relates to a carrier apparatus (6) of a work rotation support device (5), which rotates in the state of positioning and supporting the circular outer circumference of a workpiece (W) in an apparatus grinding the surfaces (Wa, Wb) of the workpiece (W) while supporting and rotating the thin disk-shaped workpiece. The carrier apparatus integrally comprises a ring-shaped carrier main body (31) having a circular inner edge (31a) closely surrounding the whole edge of the workpiece (W); and a notch trigger (32) having a leading end engaging portion (32a) interlocked with the notch (Wn) of the workpiece (W). The carrier apparatus is equipped with a mounting structure, in which the notch trigger (32) is welded and fixed to the carrier main body (31) integrally and in a replaceable manner as an individual part, and the leading end engaging portion (32a) is projected toward the inside of the diameter direction from a part of the circular inner circumference (31a) of the carrier main body (31).
