PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content reception device capable of notifying a user of a time zone in which a communication environment with a content service provider (CSP) is satisfactory.SOLUTION: The content reception device includes: a time measurement section for measuring a current time; a communication section connected via a network to a server which functions as a CSP; a storage section for storing connection setting information showing time setting showing a plurality of connection time when the communication section is connected to the server in association with the address of the server; a communication control section for, when any of the plurality of connection time is coincident with a current time, connecting the communication section to the server on the basis of the connection setting information, and for making the communication section transfer predetermined data from the server; a transfer performance measurement section for measuring the transfer performance of the server when the predetermined data are transferred; and a display control section for making a display device display a display screen based on the measurement result of the transfer performance measurement section. |
