The invention relates to an interface between a sensor unit and an explosion-proof housing, wherein a measurement amplifier (9) is arranged in the explosion-proof housing (2). In an interface, which can be easily produced and nevertheless satisfies the requirements of the explosion protection, the measurement amplifier (9) is disposed on a plug unit (7) which is formed in the sensor unit (3) and preferably protrudes into the explosion-proof housing (2).
