The tool i.e. hammer drill (1) has a tool holder (2) for holding a drilling bit (4), and an electric motor (5) for driving the tool holder, where a supply cable (17) connects the power tool to a power supply. The supply cable is secured by a shield cover (23) in a housing (16) of the power tool. The shield cover includes a roller rotatable about a bearing axis and having a convex rolling surface engaging with the supply cable, where a distance of the convex rolling surface to the bearing axis monotonically increases in a pull-out direction (24) of the supply cable.
