The present invention relates to a method and a system for manufacturing an e-book through a source analysis of a PDF document, more particularly, to a method and a system for manufacturing an e-book by loading a PDF document, performing a process of converting and editing the PDF document through a source analysis and converting a file format to be suitable for the EPUB 3.0 standard which is the current e-book standard. A method for manufacturing an e-book through a source analysis of a PDF document according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a step of extracting a layout for various texts and images of an original PDF document from an authoring tool and reflecting the layout to an XHTML5 file while maintaining a layout of the original document; a step of extracting font information which every single text of the original PDF document has and substituting the front information with a web font which is available in XHTML5; a step of classifying the image of the original PDF document into raster and vector images and extracting the images by pixel unit; and a step of producing an EPUB 3.0 file by performing the procedure described above by page and converting the format of every single page of the generated XHTML5 file.
