Provided is a molten metal filtration device capable of reducing the remaining amount of molten metal, and further capable of suppressing oxidization of molten metal during a filtration process. A molten metal filtration device (1) is characterized in that: a horizontally-oriented porous ceramic tube (6) is disposed in a storage part (5) that stores molten metal; and a closure part (9) for closing an upper portion of the storage part (5) is provided so as to reduce the capacity of the molten metal stored in the storage part (5). It is preferred that the lower end surface (9a) of the closure part (9) be positioned so as to be lower than the bottom surface (4a) of a molten metal inlet (4).
