PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To distribute and supply sufficient reaction gas on a power generation surface with a compact constitution while reinforcing an electrolyte.SOLUTION: In a unit cell 12 constituting a fuel cell 10, an electrolyte membrane-electrode structure 14 is held by a first metal separator 16 and a second metal separator 18. A solid polymer electrolyte membrane 26 constituting the electrolyte membrane-electrode structure 14 has a reinforcing part 32 on both surfaces of the outer peripheral end. The reinforcing part 32 is provided with frame members 40a, 40b located at the outside of an anode side electrode 30. The frame members 40a, 40b form a fuel gas inlet passage 36a and a fuel gas outlet passage 36b at sites corresponding to a fuel gas inlet buffer part 50a and a fuel gas outlet buffer part 50b. |
