PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle air bag device for a front passenger seat, which can further stabilize behaviors when the air bag is deployed, and further support a load from a passenger when the air bag is expanded.SOLUTION: A vehicle air bag device for a front passenger seat accommodates an air bag unit 7 in a storage part 6 formed in an upper part of an instrument panel 1 and arranges a lid 8 which blocks an opening B of the storage part 6 and is developed when an air bag is expanded. The lid 8 is attached through a retainer 12 constituting the air bag unit 7 to the opening B of the instrument panel. A lid front part 8e of the lid 8 is developed in a front direction of a vehicle when the air bag is expanded. A retainer extension part 12b of the retainer is bent and deformed to extend a bottom surface 9a of the storage part 6 so that the deformed retainer 12 becomes a support part A supporting the air bag. |
