PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specimen signature processing apparatus capable of performing collation of a specimen signature (rubber stamp) at a low cost.SOLUTION: In a specimen signature processing device 5, firstly a specimen signature area detection unit 5a measures specimen signature image data read by an image scanner 1 by sequentially scanning from four directions, and searches for a scan line in which the number of measured black dots on a scan line sharply increases so as to detect an area supposed to be a specimen signature (rubber stamp); a specimen signature outer peripheral frame creation unit 5b creates a logical outer peripheral frame outside the detected specimen signature area; and a specimen signature middle point calculation unit 5c calculates a middle point of a created logical outer peripheral frame. Information of the logical outer peripheral frame and the middle point is transmitted to a seal registration/collation unit 2, and at the seal registration/collation unit 2, a specimen signature having no outer peripheral frame can be subjected to collation processing similarly to a specimen signature having an outer peripheral frame. |
