PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spot-welding apparatus, in which a pressure to be applied to a workpiece by a movable electrode of a spot-welding gun is set at a predetermined value.SOLUTION: A spot-welding apparatus comprises a robot, a spot-welding gun and a control device. The spot-welding gun includes a gun arm, a stationary electrode, a movable electrode and a gun motor. The control device controls the operation of the gun motor to move the movable electrode so that a workpiece is clamped under pressure between the stationary electrode and the movable electrode and is subjected to spot welding. Moreover, the control device controls the action of the gun motor by a position control to output a position command to the gun motor. |
