The method involves determining occurrence of an error in an electronic apparatus i.e. router (1) by using a smartphone (3) equipped with a camera, where the error is visually displayed on a display (2) of the router. An application is started in the smartphone such that an image of the error displayed on the display of the router is captured by the camera of the smartphone. The image is recognized by an image recognition unit (5), and analyzed by an analysis unit (6), so as to display text information about the type of error and rectification of error on a display (4) of the smartphone.
