PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to reduce drying of an electrolyte membrane when a fuel cell is generating power, in a control method of a fuel cell.SOLUTION: A control method of a fuel cell including an electrolyte membrane having a catalyst layer formed on both sides includes a step for specifying a dryness index value correlated with the dryness of the electrolyte membrane, and a temperature index value correlated with the temperature of the electrolyte membrane, while stopping power generation of the fuel cell, a first determination step for determining whether or not the dryness index value and temperature index value, while stopping power generation, satisfy preset conditions of the dryness index value and temperature index value, and a step for cooling the electrolyte membrane until the dryness index value and temperature index value of which do not satisfy the conditions anymore, when a determination is made in the first determination step that the conditions are satisfied. |
