PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: an image carrier (photoreceptor drum 101) for carrying a developer image formed by developer 8; transfer means (transfer roller 34) for transferring the developer image carried by the image carrier; an image carrier cleaning member 106 which removes developer 8a remaining on the image carrier after the transfer from the image carrier by being in contact with the image carrier; a temporary accommodating part 108 which temporarily accommodates the removed developer as waste developer 8b; a discharge member 111 for discharging the waste developer from the inside of the temporary accommodating part to the outside; a transfer body (transfer belt 31) arranged between the image carrier and the transfer means; a transfer body cleaning member for removing attached matters attached to the transfer body from the transfer body; and an attached matter accommodating container for accommodating the removed attached matters. The discharge member discharges the waste developer accommodated in the temporary accommodating part from the temporary accommodating part onto the transfer body. |
