The system (1) has a multitude of electric components (3-5) electrically connected with electrical controlling lines (10, 11). A controlling unit (2) determines an electrical total input resistance of the electrical controlling lines and categorizes pre-defined resistor threshold values. Each of the pre-defined electrical resistor threshold values in case of a pre-defined contact failure such as short circuit or interruption, in branches of the electric components is assigned to each of the electrical components for an identification of the electric components.
