The cell (1) has an electrode film arrangement (3) and an elastic element (2) arranged in a cell housing (5). The electrode film arrangement is pressed against a housing wall (5.1) of the cell housing by the elastic element that is designed as a fluid-tight gas filled hollow body (6). The elastic element is made of a plastic material and a closed-pore foam material, where the elastic element corresponds to the planar expansion anodes and/or cathodes of the electrode film arrangement. The elastic element is arranged in the electrode film arrangement. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a battery (2) a method for manufacturing a single cell.
