PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support structure of an electric motor capable of suppressing vibration without applying excessive force to a cantilever support part, and provide a compressor.SOLUTION: A support structure A of an electric motor comprises: a base 20 including a cantilever support part 21 fixing one end part 13A of an electric motor body 11 in an axial direction and freely supporting the other end part 13B, and a pedestal part 22 including a support surface 24 supporting the other end part 13B of the electric motor body 11; a support member 30 constraining relative movement to an orthogonal direction parallel with the support surface 24 of the electric motor body 11 and the pedestal part 22 and orthogonal to the axial direction, and enabling relative movement to a vertical direction vertical to the support surface 24 of the electric motor 11 and the pedestal part 22.
