PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data backup method capable of operating various data backups by duplicating a backup area of a nonvolatile memory and making one an automatic backup area and the other switchable between automatic and manual data backups.SOLUTION: A data backup device 1 has a nonvolatile memory 10, a volatile memory 11, memory control means 12, and backup automatic/manual switching means 13 to back up data of the nonvolatile memory at prescribed timing. The nonvolatile memory is duplicated into an automatic backup area and an automatic/manual backup area, one being an automatic backup area and the other being an automatic/manual selection backup area in a selectable manner, and the memory control means suitably performs writing in the duplicated backup areas. |
