PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an ingot of a Ni-based superalloy by ESR method or VAR method, capable of preventing occurrence of defects such as freckle defect or segregation.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing an ingot 1 of a Ni-based superalloy containing, by mass%, Ni:45 to 60%, Cr:15 to 30%, Mo:1 to 10%, Ti:5% or less, Nb and Ta:total 10% or less and Al:0.2 to 5%, and further Bi:10 to 100 mass ppm by ESR method or VAR method includes using a consumable electrode 2 not containing Bi in a base material and adding Bi when the consumable electrode 2 is dissolved. |
