PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly perform switching between a drive-on state and a drive-off state of a load.SOLUTION: A load driving device 1 includes: a power conversion circuit 2 converting power supplied from a DC power supply Vd and supplying DC power to a load 30; an output-current detection circuit 5 detecting an output current Io flowing through the load 30; and a control circuit section 4 performing switching the operation and the operation stop of the load 30 according to an external pulse signal Po inputted from the outside, performing constant-current control on the basis of the output current Io in an operation period of the load 30 and outputting a first pulse signal having the same on-duty as the preceding operation period of the load 30 to the power conversion circuit 2 at the time of starting the constant-current control, and performing constant-voltage control on the basis of an output voltage Vo applied to the load 30 and outputting a second pulse signal for applying a predetermined bias voltage to the load 30 to the power conversion circuit 2 in an operation stop period of the load 30. |
