PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an escalator capable of assisting a user to keep standing on a footstep stably.SOLUTION: A following roller 29 is supported by a bracket frame 25 via an eccentric shaft body 31. The eccentric shaft body includes a first shaft portion 33 and a second shaft portion 35. An axial center of the second shaft portion extends in parallel with and eccentrically from the turning axis of the first shaft portion. The following roller is turnably supported by the corresponding second shaft portion. The eccentric shaft body, during its movement, receives turning force because the second shaft portion is brought into contact with a turning portion 41 of the eccentric shaft body to be rubbed and slid so as to be turned around the axial center of the second shaft portion, thereby changing height of a tip portion of a footstep with respect to the following roller. |
