PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an oscillation gear from having a shorter lifetime by suppressing contact pressure of a tooth flank of the oscillation gear from increasing.SOLUTION: An eccentric oscillation type gear device 1 includes an eccentric part 10a, an oscillation gear 14 which has an insertion hole into which the eccentric part 10a is inserted and has external teeth 14a, an outer cylinder 2, and a carrier 4. The outer cylinder 2 has inner tooth pins 3 which mesh with the external teeth 14a of the oscillation gear 14, and the carrier 4 is arranged radially inside of the outer cylinder 2 while holding the oscillation gear 14. The outer cylinder 2 and carrier 4 can rotate concentrically and relatively to each other through oscillation of the oscillation gear 14 associated with rotation of the eccentric part 10a. A backlash angle of the carrier 4 with respect to the outer cylinder 2 is set to be 2-3 minutes so that the backlash angle is substantially 1 minute through thermal expansion of the oscillation gear 14 during use. |
