In this moving body detection method, captured images are grouped into p groups each including m consecutive frames, and a superposition processing step is executed in which the superposition method is employed for the m frames of images in each group. Then, an evaluation value for detecting space debris is found from pixel values at the same pixel positions that overlap one another in the m frames of superposed images, and on the basis of the evaluation value, a space debris candidate is extracted for each group. Further, for each space debris candidate extracted for each group, it is determined whether or not each space debris candidate is to be adopted as a final space debris candidate on the basis of the coincidence or approximation of the movement direction and the movement velocity. |
