PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of minimizing damage on a photoreceptor when the image forming apparatus is activated after generation of troubles in a driving system.SOLUTION: After driving troubles are generated in a photoreceptor drum, when a front cover of a printer body once opened and closed thereafter is detected (Step S104), it is determined that countermeasures against troubles (release efforts) are taken, and driving confirmation processing for the photoreceptor drum is first executed (Step S105). As a result of the driving confirmation processing, in the case of FLG=0 (the photoreceptor drum is normally rotated) (Step S106:Yes), surface potential reset processing of the photoreceptor drum (Step S107) and normal image creation activation processing (Step S108) are executed. On the other hand, in the case of FLG≠0 (the photoreceptor drum is not normally rotated) (Step S106:No), display of errors is performed (Step S109), and the surface potential reset processing and the normal image creation activation processing are not allowed to be executed. |
