PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersion compensator having a large angle dispersion and a wide FSR, and capable of compensating for decrease in light intensity.SOLUTION: A dispersion compensator includes a first distribution Bragg reflector <01-05>, a first light confinement layer <01-07>, and an active region <01-08> laminated sequentially on a substrate <01-09>, a second light confinement layer <01-06>, a second distribution Bragg reflector layer <01-04> having an optical signal input port <01-03> and an angle dispersion output port <01-02>, and an optical amplification angle dispersion element <01-00> including an electrode <01-10> provided on the substrate and the second distribution Bragg reflector layer, a phase regulator <04-00> in which a plurality of phase regulation elements <04-02> are arranged, and at least one lens <03> for condensing a wavelength multiplex optical signal, outputted from the optical amplification angle dispersion element, to phase regulation elements groups <05-0 through 05-16> of different phase regulators for each wavelength. |
