PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device capable of inhibiting a situation that the reflection rate is deteriorated by a reflector which is made of silver and reacts with a sulfur component thereby becoming silver sulfide and turning black.SOLUTION: A light emitting device includes: a light emitting element 22; a reflector 26 which reflects light from the light emitting element 22 and is made of silver; and a phosphor material 10. A coat 26a containing zinc oxide (ZnO) is formed on at least a part of a surface of the reflector 26. The structure inhibits zinc oxide from reacting with a sulfur component and generating silver sulfide. |
