PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a neutron absorber which has a sufficient neutron absorption capacity, and is injected to spaces in a molten metal to be able to ensure criticality safety when the molten fuel is taken out from a light-water reactor where meltdown has occurred.SOLUTION: After a neutron absorber P is pressurized and injected to spaces in a molten fuel F, the molten fuel F is bored by a drill or the like and is cut by a cutter and a nozzle 20 is inserted into a resultant hole H to pressurize and inject the neutron absorber P into the hole H. Boring, and pressurizing and injection of the neutron absorber P, are repeated to fragment and recover the molten fuel F. |
