PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinate detector that is easy to reduce in thickness.SOLUTION: A coordinate detector 100 comprises: a light output section arrayed along the outer periphery part of a display part 10A on the back of the display part rather than on the surface 10B thereof; a light detection part arrayed along the outer periphery part of the display part on the back of the display part rather than on the surface thereof and output a detection signal according to incident ray volume; a first guide part 110X disposed nearer to the surface of the display part than the light output part and configured such that light output from the light output part is guided and emitted along the surface of the display part; and a second guide part 120X disposed nearer to the surface of the display part than the light detection part and configured such that light emitted from the first guide part along the surface of the display part and passed over the surface of the display part is guided in the direction of the light detection part. Based on the detection signal output from the light detection part, the position where an operation input is carried out on the surface of the display part is detected. |
