PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and efficient method for reforming coal, in which a solid powder is used as a reforming agent, and a reforming step of coal and a production step of coke can be performed simultaneously, when the flow property, which is a characteristic of coal, is improved for producing high-strength coke.SOLUTION: A method for reforming coal of the present invention improves the flow property (maximum fluidity (MF)) of coal by adding a primary or secondary amine-based compound having an aromatic ring, such as phenothiazine and carbazole, to coal used as a starting material for coke. More specifically, the flow property of coal is improved by mixing coal with a primary or secondary amine compound having an aromatic ring, such as phenothiazine and carbazole, and then subjecting the coal mixed with the amine-based compound to carbonization. |
