PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of suppressing degradation of display qualities.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate which includes: a common electrode at a common potential, extending in a first pixel located at an end of an active area for displaying an image and in a second pixel adjoining to the first pixel and located inside the active area; an insulating film disposed on the common electrode; a first pixel electrode located at the position of the first pixel above the insulating film, having a first electrode part opposing to the common electrode and forming a first slit extending in a second direction intersecting a first direction; a second pixel electrode located at the position of the second pixel above the insulating film and having a second electrode part opposing to the common electrode and forming a second slit extending in the second direction; and a first alignment layer covering the first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode. The first pixel electrode has an extending part that is broader than the second pixel electrode along the first direction, extends outside the active area and opposes to a light-shielding layer. |
