PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect deformation of an object such as a door panel caused by external force, and to avoid damage of a strain sensor 3 caused by excessive deformation.SOLUTION: A strain sensor module 1 comprises a strain generation plate 2 including a circuit board, a semiconductor type strain sensor 3, a circuit part 4, and a connector 5, and is mounted on an object by one mounting screw 6 at its substantially central part. One end 2a of the strain generation plate 2 is formed with a protrusion part 11a of a protrusion member 11 so that, in an initial state of being fixed with the mounting screw 6, the strain generation plate 2 is slightly bent and a preload is applied. If the object is deformed in a direction to be convex toward the strain generation plate 2 by external force, strain occurring in the strain sensor 3 decreases, and therefore, deformation of the object is detected. Even if the object is excessively deformed in the same direction as the object, the strain generation plate 2 is not bent, and therefore, no damage of the strain sensor 3 occurs. |
