A pneumatic tire tread which, for improving performance on ice and on snow, is provided with reinforced parts (7) on front side walls (52), (53) of a bloc (5) of the tire tread, and a pneumatic tire with said tread, wherein the difference (G) between a distance (Rt) measured from the tire axis of rotation line to the most outward top surface of a bloc and the distance (Re) equally measured from the tire axis of rotation line to the two front edges is within the range 0.2 mm to 2.0 mm, the distance from the axis of rotation line to an arbitrary point of a region on the bloc upper surface (except the front edges) is bigger than Re, the distance measured in radial direction between the most outward part of the reinforced parts (7) and the front edges is 2.0 mm or less. |
