An iron plating apparatus (100) according to the present invention is provided with: a plating unit (10) for forming an iron plating layer on the surface of an object to be plated, which is formed of an aluminum alloy; a main tank (20) for supplying a plating liquid to the plating unit (10); a pH adjusting unit (30) for adjusting the pH of the plating liquid that has been discharged from the plating unit (10); and an iron melting tank (40) for melting iron with use of the plating liquid, the pH of which has been adjusted by the pH adjusting unit (30). The plating liquid that has melted iron in the iron melting tank (40) is supplied to the main tank (20).
