The present invention provides an apparatus and method for providing a user customized service. The apparatus for providing a user customized service according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an image processing unit for receiving image information of a user photographed by an image photographing device, and extracting particular data for providing a user customized service from the image information; a user identifying unit for identifying user identification information based on the extracted particular data; a consumption pattern receiving unit which is linked to a customer statistics device and receives, from the customer statistics device, consumption pattern information on multiple users who live and work in the area where the photographed user is located; a service extracting unit for extracting a user customized service for providing the user based on the user identification information and the consumption pattern information; and a service providing unit for providing the user with information on the extracted user customized service after receiving the information from a service storage device.
