PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dip coating method for a bifocal lens which has no flow trace of a coating liquid from the segment top and has high productivity.SOLUTION: The dip coating method includes an immersion step S1 for immersing a bifocal lens 11 into an immersion tank 12 for a coating liquid 16 and a step for pulling up the bifocal lens 11 from the immersion tank 12. These both steps are executed so as to satisfy the first and second conditions. The first condition shows that the segment top of a small lens portion extends in an up-and-down direction and a tangent passing through the lower end of the segment top extends in a vertical direction or in a nearly vertical direction. The second condition shows that a tangent L2 passing through the lower end 13a of a lens surface 13 having the small lens portion extends in the vertical direction or in the nearly vertical direction, when the bifocal lens 11 is viewed from a horizontal direction orthogonal to an optical axis. |
