PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening degree detecting device whose detecting accuracy drop occurring when a throttle valve is totally closed is restrained.SOLUTION: The opening degree detecting device has a magnet (10) provided on a throttle valve (60) and electromagnetic converters (20) that convert variations in magnetic flux into electric signals and detects the opening degree of the throttle valve on the basis of electric signals from the electromagnetic converters. The electromagnetic converters comprise a first electromagnetic converter (21) that outputs an electric signal of the highest intensity or an electric signal of the lowest intensity when the magnetic flux is along a first detecting direction along a plane defined by a first direction and a second direction and a second electromagnetic converter (22) that outputs an electric signal of an intermediate intensity between the electric signal of the highest intensity and the electric signal of the lowest intensity when the magnetic flux is along the first detecting direction and, when an angle &thetas; is 0°, the respective directions of magnetic fluxes applied to the first electromagnetic converter and the second electromagnetic converter are near the first detecting direction. |
