PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress adhesion of toner to an image carrier in an image forming apparatus that removes a toner remaining on an image carrier by using a cleaning blade.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a cleaning blade 13 that removes a toner remaining on a photoreceptor 2 by pressing a tip ridge part on the photoreceptor, and is provided with auxiliary cleaning means 16 arranged on the downstream side of the cleaning blade for coming into contact with the toner adhered on the photoreceptor to reduce adhesion force of the toner to the photoreceptor. |
