PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a barrel capable of performing zoom-tracking at a high speed while preventing blur of object image with an optical system which has plural lenses having both of a zoom function and a focus function.SOLUTION: The barrel includes: plural zoom-focus lens groups that vary the zoom magnification and adjust the focus state of an object image while moving along the optical axis; plural actuators that drive plural zoom-focus lens groups separately; and a drive control section that controls the plural actuators. The drive control section controls to drive the plural zoom-focus lens groups with the plural actuators at a maximum speed in a longest drive period of a drive time required for moving the plural zoom-focus lens groups each preset in the predetermined zooming period.
