PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyethylene resin foam sheet having a low apparent density and a small thickness, by which a polyethylene resin foam sheet in a good condition is obtained while suppressing generation of splits or holes in the foam sheet.SOLUTION: The method for producing a polyethylene resin foam sheet comprises extrusion-foaming a foamable molten resin prepared by kneading a base resin essentially comprising a polyethylene resin, a physical foaming agent, and a foam stabilizer, so as to obtain a foam sheet having an apparent density of 10 to 450 kg/mand an average thickness of 2 mm or less. As the foam stabilizer, a chemical foaming agent having an average particle diameter of 3 to 8 μm is used. |
