PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fuel economy while preventing demagnetization of a permanent magnet in drive control of a rotary electric machine.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine drive system 10 includes: a rotary electric machine 12 which is mounted on a vehicle; a control circuit 14 which is connected to the rotary electric machine 12; and a controller 16 which controls the control circuit 14. The controller 16 includes: a magnet temperature acquisition section 60 which acquires temperature of a permanent magnet 24; a coolant temperature detection section 62 which detects temperature of the coolant; a temperature control section 64 which controls to raise the temperature of the permanent magnet 24 or suppress temperature raise of the permanent magnet 24 according to the temperature of the permanent magnet and the temperature of the coolant. In order to raise the temperature of the permanent magnet 24, system voltage is increased, an offset deviation is set among respective phase drive current values, or a career frequency used for a drive circuit is changed to be low. |
