PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cement production apparatus the outside surface of whose rotary kiln can be cooled suitably.SOLUTION: A cooling fan and mist spray means are arranged in a cement production apparatus having a rotary kiln. The cooling fan is used for sending cooling air to the outside surface of the rotary kiln on the vertical lower side of a rotary shaft of the rotary kiln and the mist spray means is used for spraying a water mist toward the cooling air so that the water mist is evaporated before arriving at the outside surface of a kiln shell.
