The invention concerns a device for electrically heating fluid for a motor vehicle, comprising: - at least one heating body (13; 13b) having at least one heating resistor embodied in the form of a resistive strip (17), - an electrical control means (5) for controlling the heating body (13a; 13b) electrically connected to the resistive strip (17), and - at least one current interrupting means (7). According to the invention, at least one resistive strip (17) is interrupted, and the current interrupting means (7) is arranged between two portions (171, 172) of an interrupted resistive strip (17) and comprises at least one thermal fuse (37). The thermal fuse (37) is capable of melting when the heating body (13a; 13b) reaches a predefined temperature threshold. The invention also concerns a heating and/or air conditioning device for a motor vehicle comprising such a device.
