PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a seam of a multi-thread chain stitch from fraying.SOLUTION: A multi-thread chain stitch sewing machine 100 for performing multi-thread chain stitch sewing including: a feeding mechanism for conveying a workpiece C; a sewing needle vertical movement mechanism for vertically moving sewing needles 11, 12; and a looper mechanism for advancing and retreating a looper 13 along a direction crossing a workpiece-conveying direction is provided with a knot-making device 50 for tying sewing ends T13, L12 of a needle thread and a looper thread each other.
