A method of applying a coating material to a target surface defined by a wall comprises providing a pigmented texture material, combining the texture material with a propellant in a main chamber, operating a valve assembly to allow the propellant material to force the texture material out of the main chamber in discrete droplets, and arranging the container assembly such that the discrete droplets are deposited on the target surface. The binder material, filler material, and pigment material are combined such that the discrete droplets define a physical structure that is visibly distinct from the target surface, where the binder material is provided in an amount sufficient to maintain the physical structure of and to bind the discrete droplets to the target surface. The discrete droplets also define a texture color associated with a color of the pigment material. When dry, the discrete droplets are sufficiently durable to function as part of a final wall surface. |
