Producing dry ice comprising blasting agent which is used during blasting, comprises expanding liquid carbon dioxide in an expansion chamber (1), forming dry ice snow by the expansion, adding at least one additional spray additive to dry ice snow to form a composition of dry ice and at least one additional spray additive. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a blasting agent for cleaning surfaces, comprising dry ice and at least one other blasting agent different from dry ice which is prepared for consumption composition, preferably mixture; (2) a device for producing a dry ice comprising expansion chamber with a feed (2) through which liquid carbon dioxide is expandable in the expansion chamber and dry ice snow is formed in the expansion chamber. An additional supply line (5) is provided in the expansion chamber or in an adjacent chamber, through which additional spray additive is accumulated to the dry ice snow, such that a composition of the dry ice and at least one additional spray additive is produced; and (3) cleaning a surface comprising accelerating a spray device with blasting agent with and irradiating on the surface and removing undesired contaminants from the surface by the impinging blasting agent.
