Abstract A method for generating an image of a decorated space, the method including the steps of, in a processing system: receiving a base image of a space to be decorated; receiving an indication of a selection of an item, the item having an associated item image; determining a spatial relationship between the item image and the base image; and, generating the image of the decorated space in accordance with the spatial relationship wherein, the image of the decorated space at least partially includes the item image and the base image.
