Disclosed are a carrier for glass substrate, which is used for transferring and polishing a glass substrate and which stably mounts and supports the glass substrate during the transferring and polishing, and a glass substrate polishing method using the same. According to the present invention, the glass substrate carrier includes: a back pad on which the glass substrate is mounted; a panel member which is located at the lower portion of the back pad and supports the under surface of the back pad; and a supporting frame which supports the panel member from the underside of the panel member and forms a groove from the down side to the upside.
