A furniture structure (1; 50; 100; 150) for supporting persons spending rest, relaxation, leisure moments and/or needing assistance comprising a base frame (2; 51; 101; 151), suitable to be placed on a reference surface, delimiting an inner central compartment (3, 4; 52) and provided with a head portion (5; 53; 102; 152), at which the head of the person rests, and a bottom portion (6), at which the feet of the person needing assistance and/or who spends rest, relaxation, leisure and the like moments are arranged, transverse bearing means (7; 54), coupled above the base frame (2; 51; 101; 151) in such a way as to occupy the inner central compartment (3, 4; 52) and suitable to receive the body of the person in order to support it. In particular, the furniture structure (1; 50; 100; 150) includes a support and manoeuvre device (A) which in turn comprises support means (8; 61; 103, 153), suitable to support reading, writing, consultation and/or typing objects which can be used by the person spending the aforesaid rest, relaxation, leisure or similar moments and/or needing assistance, firmly and rotatably coupled with the head portion (5; 53; 102; 152) of the base frame (2; 51; 101; 151) in such a way as to define a rotation axis (Y) developing in straight line between the head portion (5; 53; 102; 152) and the bottom portion (6) of the base frame (2; 51; 101; 151) and is substantially parallel to the correct and normal position provided by the transverse bearing means (7, 54) for the body of the person, as well as actuation means (9; 64), operatively connected with the support means (8; 61; 103; 153) and suitable to rotate them around the rotation axis (Y) from one to another of the side portions (10, 11) symmetrically opposite each other of the base frame (2; 51; 101; 151) in such a way that the support means (8; 61; 103; 153) define a plurality of operating positions, in which the support means (8; 61; 103; 153) are firmly kept protruding according to different inclinations towards the transverse bearing means (7; 54), adapting their orientation to varying of the posture and visual field of the eyes of the person when the latter, while resting on the transverse bearing means (7; 54), passes from the supine position to the position on any of the two hips and vice versa. |
