Disclosed are a vehicle navigation device capable of route searching via multiple POIs and a route searching method. When searching a route to reach a destination via multiple POIs, the vehicle navigation device capable of route searching via multiple POIs: acquires expenses of POI conditions which a user desires to pass through from a POI information supply server through a telematics system; determines priorities according to the acquired information; considers driving costs such as expected expenses, fuel expenses and toll fees in a POI according to the priorities, so as to search a route minimizing expenses arising from passing through a POI, thereby providing an optimal path to a driver.
